Matthew Stretanski will serve as Athletic Director for the 2026-2027 school year as Jennifer Dixon begins as Athletic Department Support Secretary. We are energized and enthusiastic for Matt and Jenn to support athletic programming and our student athletes.  Jenn will also serve as secretary in the Dallas High School Main Office as Matt continues a Social Studies Teacher at DHS and pool manager. 

Jenn is a graduate of Tunkhannock High School, where she was actively involved in music, sports, and supporting students with learning disabilities. She has gained valuable experience within the Dallas School District, serving as a library aide and volunteering extensively with the Dallas Band program through numerous fundraisers and events over the years.

Outside of work, Jenn enjoys taking walks, cheering on the New York Yankees, following football, and spending quality time with her family. She is excited to begin this new role as Secretary in the Dallas School District Athletic Department and looks forward to supporting the students, staff, and community.

Jenn resides in Dallas with her husband, Len, and their two daughters, Sara and Samantha.

Matthew Stretanski “Mr. S.” brings nearly three decades of service, leadership, and community commitment to his role as Athletic Director for the Dallas School District. A respected educator, coach, and program coordinator, Stretanski has shaped the district’s athletic and extracurricular landscape through his work with student‑athletes, families, and regional partners.

A graduate of Franklin & Marshall College, Stretanski competed as a member of the Diplomats swim team, earning distinction as a four‑time MAC conference champion, school record holder, and team captain. He completed his bachelor’s degree in History and teacher certification at Millersville University, followed by graduate studies in Sport Management at East Stroudsburg University. His internship at Lehigh University under Athletic Director Joseph Sterrett provided foundational experience in athletic administration and department operations. In 2018, he earned his Pennsylvania K–12 Principal Certification through Marywood University, further strengthening his leadership preparation.

Stretanski served as Head Coach of the Dallas High School Swimming and Diving Teams from 1994 to 2009, guiding athletes to district and state success and earning recognition as the 2007 PIAA District 2 Coach of the Year. He is the co-founder and longtime coach of the Dallas Mountaineers Aquatic Club Summer Team, leading the program for 24 years. He also co-founded the Northeast Pennsylvania Summer Swim League, now in its 18th season and serving young athletes across a 12‑team regional network.

Since 2001, Stretanski has planned and coordinated all after‑school and summer programming at the Dallas School District Natatorium, expanding opportunities for youth development, community engagement, and aquatic education.

Stretanski and his family reside in Shavertown and remains an active supporter of school events, youth sports, and community activities.
