After winning the IU 18 region, The Elite Engineers, from Dallas Intermediate School, competed in the state K’Nex STEM Design Challenge in Harrisburg on May 12, 2023. The team was faced with the challenge of solving an environmental issue, while designing and building a prototype out of K’Nex. The project included extensive research on their topic, journaling their daily progress, drafting blueprints, building a prototype, creating Google Slides and a video commercial, and presenting in front of judges. Although the team did not win at the state level, they had a great time competing and are determined to get back and win next year. Pictured below from left to right Eli L., Mason M., and Drue P.
