Wycallis Primary Center celebrated Read Across America with a week-long celebration during the week of February 27.  The importance and joy of reading was emphasized with events and activities including Green Eggs and Ham Day (wear green,) Seussy Socks Day (wear wild socks,) Wacky Wednesday (dress wacky,) and Curl Up with a Good Book Day (wear pajamas.)  The celebration culminated with the Reading Olympics during which classes competed for the gold, silver, and bronze medals in several reading-themed games. Dallas Intermediate School celebrated the week with Boggle Board Word Challenges, the Digital Escape Room of Literary Challenges and Scavenger Hunts. Students completing all four challenges were able to vote on which character Principal Traver will portray later this month. Possibilities include Captain Underpants, Mr. Incredible, or Buzz Lightyear. Pictured below are students enjoying Read Across America activities.
