Student Chromebook Reminders and Fees

Dallas students are provided a Chromebook free of charge from the Dallas School District to use as an educational tool. However, students are responsible for keeping their assigned Chromebook in working condition.

Quarter one Chromebook checks are underway and device evaluation is ongoing.  

If it is determined that a student’s Chromebook is damaged or missing, you will receive a text alert with a link to log in to the CSIU Parent Portal “Fees” page.  Past due Chromebook fees will be listed there.  Please remit payment as soon as possible  using the District credit card payment system.

Please enter the building alongside the word ‘Chromebook’ in the area marked ‘Payment Reason’ during the checkout process.

Checks can also be made payable to Dallas School District with student name and Chromebook fee listed in the memo and submitted to the school office. 

Please contact your child’s school main office with questions regarding Chromebook repair or replacement fees.

Chromebook Bezel $25.00 

Hinge Repair $25.00 

Chromebook Base $25.00 

Keyboard Repair $35.00 

Chromebook Port $10.00 

Charging Pack/Cord $25.00 

Replacement cost for Chromebooks that have been lost/not returned/or damaged beyond repair will be based upon the age of the device, approximately $100.00 – $250.00.
