The Dallas School District has student food service available for breakfast and lunch in each school’s cafeteria.

Each cafeteria meets the strict federal nutrition standards for school meals, ensuring they are healthy and well balanced to provide students all the nutrition they need to succeed at school.

Free and Reduced Meal Programs

Dallas School District offers healthy meals every day. Breakfast costs $1.40 for elementary and middle school and $1.50 for high school. Lunch costs $2.55 for elementary, $2.65 middle school, and $2.80 high school. If your child(ren) qualify for reduced-price meals, breakfast is $0.30 and lunch is $0.40. Applications for Free and Reduced Lunch are available online and in each school’s office. Parents and families are encouraged to complete the application annually or as circumstances change.

Summer Meal Program

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is a federally-funded, state-administered program. Local operators serve free healthy meals and snacks to children and teens during the summer months.
