Dallas School District is situated on our 100+ acre campus in the heart of the Back Mountain. It serves children residing within an approx. 50 mile radius including the communities of Dallas Borough & Township, Franklin Township & Kingston Township.

Two from Dallas High School Selected to All-Eastern Ensembles. Blake Seiwell and Lukas Runde selected to represent Dallas School District’s Music Program in Hartford, CT.

(12/19/24, Dallas, PA) – Dallas School District is proud to announce the selection of two students from its music program to perform at the 2025 Eastern Division Honors Festival held in Hartford, CT April 23-27, 2025: senior Blake Seiwell and junior, Lukas Runde.

The event is sponsored by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) and hosted by the Connecticut Music Educators Association (CMEA). Blake and Lukas were selected from over two thousand candidates from Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and Department of Defense Schools in Europe.

Blake will rehearse and perform with the Mixed Chorus under the direction of Dr. Anton Armstrong of St. Olaf College. Lukas will play flute in the Concert Band conducted by Dr. Travis Cross of the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).

Their performances will take place on Sunday, April 27th at The Bushnell Performing Arts Center, Hartford, CT.

A donation check was presented to the Dallas School District Cafeteria Fund by the Kiwanis Club of Dallas. The donation will support several students' lunch costs for the remainder of the year.

Dallas School District offers music, theater, and visual arts opportunities throughout grades K-12. All of our schools offer music and art classes, and on average, our middle school and high school both put on two productions every year.
