Dallas Athletics History and Pride – Welcome to the Family

Dallas Athletics Continue to Serve Students and the Community Well

• 1100 athletes in grades 7-12 are participating in school athletics including band and cheer

• 50 competitive events have been held or scheduled for Mountaineer Stadium during the Fall 2022

• 500+ Junior High and Varsity practices

• Continued support and inclusion of community sports teams through use of facilities and clinics

• Community connections and groups we support on campus include:

                            Back Mountain (BMT) Wrestling

                            Dallas Youth Basketball

                            BMT Soccer

                            BMT Baseball/Softball

                            JR Mounts football and cheer

                            DMAC Swim and Dive

• Multipurpose Stadium turf replacement completed January 2025

• Recent improvements include junior high softball dugouts, varsity softball batting cage plan, track area public address system, track throwing area

• Increased security added at campus events

• Revised Athletic Employee Handbook to support coaches, game managers and AD

• Exploration related to increased focus and efficiency on scheduling facilities enacted

• Review of cyclical uniform update process in progress

• Increased education and support of booster clubs ongoing

• Daily review and management of transportation arrangements

• Review and revision of game manager checklists/procedures planned
