Using Chromebooks

Chromebooks will be distributed to students at the beginning of each year after the Acceptable Use Policy Acknowledgement Form and the Chromebook Parent-Student Sign Off Form has been signed.

Acceptable Use

The Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) governs the appropriate use of the Dallas School District’s network, district-owned technology, and the internet—both on and off campus—as well as student and employee use of the internet during school hours, on school grounds, and during school-sponsored activities.

Google Classroom

Google Classroom is an all-in-one place for teaching and learning. It helps educators manage, measure, and enrich learning experiences.

Access Instructions

  • Go to and click “Go to Classroom”
  • Enter your username and click “Next”
  • Enter your password and click “Next”
  • If there is a welcome message, read it and click “Accept”
  • If you’re using a G Suite for Education account, click “I’m A Student” or “I’m A Teacher”
  • Click “Get Started”
  • Sign in

Troubleshooting For Students

Chromebook Collection Schedule May 2024

We will be shutting down Chromebook repairs on May 15th. Homeroom Inventory collection sheets will be provided to those teachers on Friday, May 17th.

Chromebook Collection will be as follows:
12th Grade students can start returning Chromebooks as soon as they have completed their school work to the Tech Department office. Final day for Senior returns will be May 16th.
(Assigned Chromebook, charger and cord)

2nd Grade will return Chromebooks to their homeroom teacher, we will be collecting them on May 24th.

Kindergarten, 1st, 3nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th Grade will hold onto their Chromebooks over the summer.

Any school issued Chromebook, charger, cord and (case DMS, DIS and WPC) not returned will be invoiced as per our One to One Loaner Agreement.
