Dallas School District supports our students through a tiered system.
Tiered Levels of Student Services (TLSS), which includes Tier I classroom teachers, bus drivers, and coaches; Tier II school counselors; and Tier III partnerships with in school licensed therapists, addresses identification and support of students with mental health needs.
Students experiencing mental health needs are provided with interventions at increasing levels of intensity and duration. The student’s response to the provided support is monitored, with future decisions on support intensity and duration dependent on the continuing level of need.
