DMS Robotics Team Success

The Dallas Middle School Robotics participated in the Tunkhannock Tigertrons Regional Qualifier Tournament last week with great success.  During the event, students presented their Innovation Project and Robot Design, demonstrating inventiveness, collaboration, and optimism about the future of the commercial fishing industry, for which they developed a device to help combat the growing number of derelict ‘ghost’ fishing nets in the world’s oceans.Students also competed in three robot performance rounds, with their highest score being 95 points.
The Dallas ‘Ghost Busters’ team was presented with the Innovation Project Award for their well-thought-out and prototyped solution to an ocean problem.
This was the team’s first competition resulting in great success and recognition. Pictured below with their trophy, team members include :
