The District held our annual Substitute Teacher Back to School Kick-Off Meeting on August 17 in the DHS LGI Room with over 40 substitute teachers attending.  District administrators welcomed and thanked the teachers who will serve in classrooms throughout the district during the 2023-2024 school year reminding them how important their service to the district continues to be.  The district will continue to offer daily substitute teachers the “Very Important Sub” (VIS) ID card that will provide substitutes a complimentary breakfast and lunch each day they serve as well as admission to Dallas events.  Administrators reviewed procedures and protocols with attendees and each substitute teacher was presented with a Dallas draw-string bag as a back to school gift.
