ZEARN Math Success!

During the 2023-2024 school year, ZEARN Math, a top-rated curriculum, was successfully implemented in the Dallas School District at the K-5 level.  This highly effective and engaging program aims to transform students’ understanding of math and their attitude toward it. By providing students the opportunity to acquire knowledge using concrete and digital manipulatives, demonstrate their thinking and reasoning skills both orally and on paper, and receive personalized support as they engage in their learning, students have made tremendous progress throughout this school year. Wycallis Primary Center and Dallas Intermediate School teachers report that the research-backed concrete, representational, abstract method of teaching mathematics allows students to build their number sense and use a variety of strategies to solve real world math problems. There is an increased level of rigor associated with the ZEARN Math program that has challenged students to expand upon their learning and grow their mathematical brains. When surveyed regarding their attitudes towards math, 97% of Wycallis Primary Center and Dallas Intermediate School students believe that making mistakes in math class is how they learn and grow. The ZEARN math program challenges students to reach their full potential each and every day. Students, teachers, administrators, and parents can all agree that the future of math teaching and learning in the Dallas School District is bright!

ZEARN digital lessons allow students to gain additional practice as they problem solve with interactive math models, receive real time feedback on every problem, and transfer their learning to paper.
